RT: Disable Right Click vs Salesdish Content Protectionfor Shopify (2026)
Both RT: Disable Right Click and Salesdish Content Protection aim to protect Shopify merchants from content theft, but they differ significantly in adoption and feature emphasis. RT: Disable Right Click, with a substantial user base (247 reviews) and a 4.8-star rating, focuses on comprehensive protection through disabling right-clicks, copy-paste functions, keyboard shortcuts, and even preventing screenshots. Its core strength lies in its multi-layered approach to content security, addressing various avenues of potential theft. Salesdish Content Protection, on the other hand, is a newer app with a perfect 5-star rating but only 2 reviews, suggesting a limited user base. It positions itself as a preventative measure against plagiarism, explicitly targeting competitors and malicious actors. Its description highlights protecting product descriptions and photos, indicating a specific focus on preventing the theft of visual and textual product assets. The primary difference lies in their approach to protection and market validation. RT: Disable Right Click offers a broad, technically focused approach to content security, while Salesdish Content Protection emphasizes preventative measures and targets plagiarism more directly. The significant disparity in the number of reviews suggests RT: Disable Right Click is a more established and widely used solution, though Salesdish's perfect rating (albeit based on a small sample) may attract merchants seeking a potentially more focused and streamlined solution.

Our Verdict
For merchants deeply concerned about comprehensive content protection across all aspects of their site, including images, text, and source code, and who prioritize a solution with a proven track record and numerous user reviews, RT: Disable Right Click is the more suitable choice. Its comprehensive feature set addresses a wider range of potential theft methods. However, merchants specifically targeting plagiarism prevention of product descriptions and images, and who are comfortable trying a newer app with a potentially more focused approach, may find Salesdish Content Protection appealing.
Given the vastly different number of reviews, RT: Disable Right Click provides more confidence due to social proof. Salesdish Content Protection needs to build its user base and demonstrate long-term reliability. If you're risk-averse, RT: Disable Right Click is the safer bet. If you're willing to try a newer, potentially more specialized solution, Salesdish Content Protection is worth considering.
