Our Verdict
The choice between Rubik Variant Images & Swatch and Smart Stories | Video Story depends heavily on the merchant's needs. If a merchant struggles with high return rates due to unclear product variants or wants to enhance the product page experience, Rubik Variant Images & Swatch is the clear choice. Its focus on accurate visual representation of variants directly addresses this issue. However, if a merchant wants to leverage video marketing to increase brand engagement, showcase products in a dynamic way, and boost sales through shoppable videos, Smart Stories | Video Story is more suitable. It provides the tools to create engaging video content and integrate it seamlessly into the store. Therefore, they serve totally different use cases and it wouldn't be correct to recommend one over the other, outside of understanding a merchant's marketing goals.
