Rubik Variant Images & Swatch vs Tepo Custom Product Optionsfor Shopify (2026)
Rubik Variant Images & Swatch focuses explicitly on enhancing the visual presentation of product variants, particularly through image swatches and the display of relevant images based on selected options. It directly addresses the issues of conversion rates and product returns by providing a cleaner, more informative variant image gallery. It positions itself as an alternative to variant image automators and highlights AI for image assignment. Tepo Custom Product Options, while sharing the 'Product variants' category, is likely broader in scope, implying more extensive customization capabilities beyond just variant images. Given the higher review count, it suggests a more established user base and potentially a wider range of functionalities. This comparison is challenging given the lack of feature details on Tepo.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with streamlining the visual presentation of product variants, especially those with numerous color or style options, Rubik Variant Images & Swatch appears to be the more directly tailored solution. Its focus on image swatches, automated image assignment with AI, and the clear communication of options through variant-specific imagery, directly addresses conversion rate improvement and return reduction. If a merchant needs broader customization options beyond just visual variant display, especially if those features are image variant related, Tepo Custom Product Options *might* offer the functionality. However, without specifics on Tepo's features, Rubik is the clearer choice for its targeted expertise in visual variant management.
