Sales CountUp vs Stok: Notify Me Restock Alertfor Shopify (2026)
Sales CountUp and Stok: Notify Me Restock Alert are Shopify apps with different purposes. Sales CountUp focuses on visually showcasing sales metrics and impact to build trust and promote positive brand messaging through customizable, automated counters. It's geared towards highlighting sales volume, donations, eco-friendly initiatives, or crowdfunding efforts. Stok: Notify Me Restock Alert, on the other hand, directly addresses lost sales due to out-of-stock products by enabling merchants to build waitlists and automatically notify customers via email, SMS, or WhatsApp when items are restocked. The core difference lies in their objective. Sales CountUp aims to enhance the customer's perception of the brand and potentially increase sales through social proof and demonstrating impact. Stok: Notify Me Restock Alert is designed to recover revenue from products already in demand by ensuring customers are aware when items are available for purchase. While both apps can contribute to sales, they do so via distinct mechanisms, targeting different pain points for Shopify merchants. The shared category, 'Stock alerts', is misleading, as Stok provides *actual* stock alerts to customers, whereas Sales CountUp only counts sold items or orders. Stok is also more focused on immediate revenue recovery, providing lost sales reports and reminders for conversions.
