Sales Motivator ‑ Free Gifts vs Simply Shipping Protectionfor Shopify (2026)

Sales Motivator ‑ Free Gifts and Simply Shipping Protection both aim to enhance the Shopify store experience, but target fundamentally different aspects. Sales Motivator focuses on increasing sales through free gift incentives, targeting the marketing and conversion optimization aspects of a store. It provides tools to create compelling 'Gift With Purchase' offers and incentivize larger purchases. Simply Shipping Protection, on the other hand, centers on providing a value-added service for customers (shipping protection) while allowing merchants to control the revenue and claims process directly, offering an alternative to third-party insurance providers. Sales Motivator appeals to merchants looking to directly influence customer spending habits and increase average order value through strategic gift offers. It's geared towards improving conversion rates and customer perceived value. Simply Shipping Protection is designed for merchants concerned with customer satisfaction related to shipping issues (loss, damage) and who want to retain control over the revenue generated from shipping protection fees, managing claims in-house for potentially better customer service and higher profit margins. The common category of “Upsell and bundles - Other” highlights the fact that both apps offer additional value to shoppers, even if the specific mechanism for doing so differs substantially.
