SavedBy Package Protection vs Synctrack PayPal Tracking Syncfor Shopify (2026)
SavedBy Package Protection and Synctrack PayPal Tracking Sync address distinct pain points for Shopify merchants. SavedBy focuses on mitigating shipping-related losses and improving customer satisfaction by offering package protection. It positions itself as a way to transfer the risk of lost, stolen, or damaged packages to SavedBy, handling customer claims and covering refunds or re-orders. Synctrack, on the other hand, is geared towards streamlining payment processing with PayPal and Stripe. It automates the syncing of tracking information to these platforms, aiming to accelerate fund disbursement and reduce disputes and chargebacks. The primary difference lies in their core functionalities and value propositions. SavedBy centers on post-purchase customer support and risk management related to shipping, offering merchants a way to offload the responsibility of dealing with shipping issues. Synctrack focuses on financial operations, specifically optimizing the flow of funds and reducing PayPal limitations. Therefore, the choice between them hinges on which aspect of the business a merchant prioritizes: protecting against shipping-related losses or optimizing payment processing.

Our Verdict
SavedBy Package Protection is ideal for merchants who want to offer their customers added security and protection against shipping issues, reduce their customer support workload related to shipping problems, and retain revenue by having SavedBy handle refunds and re-orders. This is particularly beneficial for businesses selling fragile or high-value items, or those experiencing a significant number of lost or damaged packages.
Synctrack PayPal Tracking Sync is a better choice for merchants heavily reliant on PayPal and Stripe for their payments. It aims to streamline payment processing, reduce disputes, and improve cash flow by ensuring timely tracking information is synced to these platforms. If a merchant faces frequent PayPal holds, reserves, or disputes, Synctrack is the more suitable option. While both have 5-star ratings, Synctrack's substantially larger number of reviews suggests broader adoption and potentially more proven reliability, although the small sample size for SavedBy requires caution.
