S‑BULK Excel Like Product Edit vs SWT Products Custom Fieldsfor Shopify (2026)
S‑BULK Excel Like Product Edit and SWT Products Custom Fields both address content and metafield management within Shopify, but they cater to different merchant needs and priorities. S‑BULK aims for comprehensive, bulk editing with an Excel-like interface, appealing to merchants dealing with large product catalogs and complex data manipulation. Its strength lies in providing a unified, spreadsheet-style view for quick data entry, filtering, and programmable data transformations, potentially saving significant time for merchants who frequently update product information in bulk. The programmable triggers and calculated fields especially suggest advanced usage scenarios. SWT Products Custom Fields, on the other hand, seems to focus more narrowly on custom field management. While lacking a detailed description, the app's name and categorization imply a focus on adding and managing metafields specifically. While the app has a higher rating (4.8/5 vs 4.3/5), it has significantly fewer reviews (4 vs 24), indicating a smaller user base or a newer app. Therefore, it may cater to merchants with less demanding needs around bulk editing but value a user-friendly experience focusing solely on custom fields, particularly if it offers seamless integration and a simpler workflow within that scope.

Our Verdict
For merchants who frequently manage large product catalogs, need advanced data manipulation capabilities (e.g., calculating fields, automated triggers), and are comfortable with an Excel-like interface, S‑BULK Excel Like Product Edit is likely the better choice. The app's strength lies in its comprehensive features and bulk editing capabilities, designed for efficiency and control.
However, if a merchant primarily needs a straightforward solution for managing custom fields without the need for complex data transformations or bulk editing, and values a potentially simpler and more intuitive interface, SWT Products Custom Fields might be more suitable. It's crucial to consider the volume and complexity of product data, desired features, and ease of use when making a decision, and ideally test both apps to determine the best fit.
