Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with leveraging customer segmentation to drive targeted marketing campaigns and integrate with various marketing platforms via Zapier, SC Customer Tagging is the better choice. Its features are squarely aimed at marketing automation and customer lifecycle management. However, given that SC Customer Tagging has significantly more reviews, it is likely a more mature and widely used app.
Tagify is more suitable for merchants who need a robust solution for automating order management and improving reporting by tagging both customers and orders. Its ability to validate tag rules against past orders provides a unique benefit for those focused on refining their operational workflows based on historical data. The 'ignore specific orders' feature is also useful in scenarios where exceptions are common.
