Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants, the choice depends heavily on their specific needs. If the priority is to improve search engine visibility through rich snippets and enhance internal navigation, Schema & Breadcrumbs by Bogdan is the clear choice. However, if the primary concern is slow loading times caused by unoptimized images, and a desire to improve image search rankings, SEO Speed Image Optimizer is the more suitable option.
Many stores could benefit from using *both* apps. Image optimization is a fundamental aspect of SEO, while schema markup and breadcrumbs provide additional benefits. However, for merchants with limited budgets, start by identifying the most pressing SEO issue – site speed or rich snippet visibility – and choose the app that directly addresses that problem. The higher number of reviews and perfect score for SEO Speed Image Optimizer suggests it might be a consistently reliable option for improving site speed.
