Search & Discovery ‑ Visely vs Sticky Toolbarfor Shopify (2026)
Search & Discovery ‑ Visely and Sticky Toolbar, while both categorized under 'Navigation and menus' on Shopify, serve fundamentally different purposes. Visely aims to enhance the product discovery experience through improved search functionality, personalized recommendations, and advanced filtering options. It targets merchants with larger catalogs or those focused on improving user engagement and conversion rates by optimizing the search and browse experience. Visely emphasizes speed, relevance, and customization to help customers find what they're looking for quickly and efficiently. It's positioned as a sales-boosting tool with a white-glove service. The app's 5/5 rating with 34 reviews suggests positive early adoption. Sticky Toolbar, in contrast, focuses on providing persistent accessibility to key website sections and functionalities, such as the shopping cart or customer service links. This app's target merchant is less defined but would be useful for any merchant wanting to improve the user experience by allowing constant access to critical actions, especially on mobile devices. The customizable design is a key selling point to maintain brand consistency. A major disadvantage for Sticky Toolbar is the absence of any reviews and a rating of 0/5, indicating it is potentially new or has yet to gain traction with Shopify merchants. This should be interpreted with caution as a risk factor for merchants using it.

Our Verdict
For merchants struggling with product discoverability, especially those with large and diverse inventories, Search & Discovery ‑ Visely appears to be the stronger choice. Its focus on intelligent search results, personalized recommendations, and granular filtering directly addresses the challenge of helping customers find what they need quickly and efficiently. The positive early reviews (34 at 5/5) suggest a reliable and effective solution. However, this comes with the potential complexity of UI integration.
Sticky Toolbar, while simpler, addresses a more fundamental need: ensuring key website elements are always accessible. For merchants prioritizing ease of navigation and immediate access to features like the cart or customer service, a sticky toolbar can be a valuable addition. However, the lack of reviews and a 0/5 rating create a significant risk factor compared to Visely. Unless it has compelling features or a drastically lower price point, it's difficult to recommend Sticky Toolbar over Visely given the current information.
