Our Verdict
For established Shopify stores looking for a well-rounded search and filter solution with a proven track record, Searchanise Search & Filter is a solid choice. Its large user base and extensive features, including merchandising tools, voice search, and customizable filters, make it a versatile option. However, for merchants who prioritize advanced AI-driven search capabilities and are comfortable with a newer app with fewer reviews, Wizzy AI Search & Filter could be a better fit. Wizzy's focus on understanding user intent, visual swatches, and turning 404 pages into conversion opportunities suggests a more sophisticated approach to product discovery, potentially leading to higher conversion rates for stores with complex product catalogs.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and customize?
Searchanise explicitly mentions "no coding skills needed" and "easy to customize design," suggesting a simpler setup process for users without technical expertise. While Wizzy focuses on ease by not harming store insights, Searchanise more directly calls out user-friendly customization.
Which app is better for handling product variants?
Both apps explicitly state that they handle product variants, but they do so slightly differently. Searchanise allows variants to be displayed as separate products, which may be preferable for some stores. Wizzy allows for showing individual variants on search and collection pages, implying a more traditional variant selection process.
Which app is more focused on upselling and merchandising?
Searchanise clearly states that it offers merchandising tools and upsell product recommendations. Wizzy implements keyword redirects and curated recommendations on 404 pages. However, Searchanise is more comprehensive.
How does the rating and review count influence the decision?
Searchanise has a much larger number of reviews (1146) compared to Wizzy (34), indicating a more established app with a longer track record. While Wizzy has a perfect 5/5 rating, the lower review count means the rating might not be as statistically significant as Searchanise's 4.7/5 rating.
Which app focuses more on Artificial Intelligence?
Wizzy puts the emphasis on AI in its description and feature list (AI-driven suggestions, synonym understanding) more than Searchanise does. Searchanise incorporates personalized AI Search, but Wizzy's features are more deeply embedded with AI-driven functions.
