Sellerboard Profit Analytics vs Supermetricsfor Shopify (2026)
Sellerboard Profit Analytics and Supermetrics, while both falling under the 'Operations' and 'Analytics' categories on Shopify, offer distinctly different value propositions to merchants. Sellerboard is laser-focused on providing real-time, granular profit analytics. It allows merchants to deeply understand their profitability by product, order, or marketing campaign, providing actionable insights based on COGS, ad spend, shipping costs, and other expenses. Its strength lies in its detailed, profit-centric reporting dashboard and its capability to analyze customer lifetime value and advertising efficiency. It targets merchants who need a comprehensive understanding of their bottom line, allowing for data-driven decision-making focused on profitability. Supermetrics, conversely, aims to aggregate data from various marketing and sales platforms into a centralized location for reporting and analysis. It isn't focused solely on profit calculation like Sellerboard. Supermetrics positions itself as a data integration tool, streamlining the flow of information from various sources into BI, reporting, and analytics tools. It's targeting merchants who use a wide range of marketing platforms and need a way to consolidate their data for broader marketing performance analysis. Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants seeking a deep dive into their profitability, Sellerboard Profit Analytics is the clear choice. Its focus on profit-related metrics, detailed cost tracking (COGS, ad spend, shipping, etc.), and real-time dashboard provide invaluable insights for optimizing their business. The positive user reviews and high rating further solidify its reliability.
Supermetrics is better suited for larger businesses with a complex marketing ecosystem. If you're using multiple marketing platforms and need to aggregate data into a central location for comprehensive reporting and analysis (beyond just profit), Supermetrics is a strong option. However, the lack of reviews at this time indicates caution is needed.
