SellerDash: AusPost Shipping vs Synctrack: Returns & Exchangesfor Shopify (2026)
SellerDash: AusPost Shipping and Synctrack: Returns & Exchanges, while both categorized under 'Shipping' on Shopify, serve fundamentally different purposes. SellerDash focuses on streamlining the outbound shipping process for Australian merchants using Australia Post. Its strength lies in simplifying label generation, rate calculation, and order fulfillment specifically for AusPost's MyPost Business and eParcel services. Its target audience is Australian Shopify merchants seeking to optimize their outbound shipping workflow with Australia Post. Synctrack: Returns & Exchanges, conversely, addresses the post-purchase experience by providing an automated returns management system. It excels in facilitating returns, exchanges, and refunds, integrating with a wide range of couriers (2900+) beyond just Australia Post. This app is aimed at merchants who want to improve customer satisfaction by offering a seamless returns process, reduce refund costs by promoting exchanges or store credit, and gain valuable insights into return patterns. Although it lists Australia Post as a supported carrier, it's not tailored specifically to outgoing AusPost shipments. The core distinction lies in their functional focus: SellerDash optimizes outbound shipping *with* Australia Post, while Synctrack manages inbound returns *across many* carriers, including Australia Post. Consequently, merchants should select the app that aligns with their most pressing shipping-related pain points: outgoing fulfillment or incoming returns.

Our Verdict
For Australian merchants whose primary shipping need is efficient outbound order fulfillment via Australia Post (MyPost Business or eParcel), SellerDash: AusPost Shipping is the clear choice. Its focused feature set directly addresses the pain points associated with creating shipping labels, calculating rates, and managing AusPost shipments in bulk.
However, if a merchant's priority is to manage a high volume of returns and exchanges across multiple carriers, and to provide a positive post-purchase experience, Synctrack: Returns & Exchanges is the superior option. Its broad carrier integration, automated return portal, and focus on customer retention make it well-suited for businesses seeking to streamline their returns process and improve customer loyalty. If a merchant wants both outbound *and* return optimization, then the better solution would likely be a different app that combines both, or to use both apps.
Common Questions
Which app is better for international shipping?
SellerDash provides live rates for both Domestic and International shipping through Australia Post. Synctrack focuses on return tracking and label generation for many carriers, including international, for *returns*, not necessarily outbound international shipments.
Can Synctrack print Australia Post shipping labels for outbound orders?
While Synctrack integrates with Australia Post, its primary function is to manage *returns*, not outbound shipping. It may generate return labels, but it's not optimized for initial shipment label creation. SellerDash is the better option for outbound AusPost labels.
Does SellerDash support return labels?
The provided description for SellerDash does not mention return label support. It is focused on outbound shipping label generation. Synctrack is the better option for return label management.
Which app is easier to set up?
Determining which app is easier to set up is difficult without user experience data. However, SellerDash's focus on a single carrier (Australia Post) might suggest a simpler setup process for merchants already familiar with AusPost's MyPost Business or eParcel. Synctrack's broader carrier integration might require more configuration.
If I only want to optimize one aspect of shipping, returns or fulfillment, which app is better?
If your priority is streamlining outbound Australia Post shipping and fulfillment, choose SellerDash. If your priority is automating and improving the returns and exchanges process across multiple carriers, choose Synctrack.
