Selling Point vs Smart RSS Feedfor Shopify (2026)
Selling Point and Smart RSS Feed address entirely different needs within the Shopify ecosystem. Selling Point focuses on migrating and managing gift cards and store credits, targeting merchants transitioning from other platforms or looking to consolidate their gift card systems. Its primary strength lies in simplifying a potentially complex migration process. Smart RSS Feed, on the other hand, helps merchants distribute product and blog content across various channels, aiming to boost traffic and engagement. The core difference lies in their functionalities: Selling Point streamlines internal operations related to gift cards, while Smart RSS Feed focuses on external marketing and outreach. Selling Point offers features like bulk import and the transformation of physical gift cards into virtual ones, aiming to reduce manual labor. Smart RSS Feed automates content sharing across social media, email marketing, and affiliate networks, enhancing visibility and reach. The target audiences also differ significantly: Selling Point primarily benefits established businesses moving to Shopify or those with complex gift card management needs, whereas Smart RSS Feed serves merchants seeking to expand their online presence through automated content distribution.

Our Verdict
The choice between Selling Point and Smart RSS Feed depends entirely on your specific business needs. If you're moving to Shopify from another platform and have a substantial number of gift cards or store credits to migrate, Selling Point is the clear winner. Its focus on streamlining this process can save you significant time and effort.
However, if your primary goal is to increase your store's visibility and automate content distribution across various channels, Smart RSS Feed is the more suitable option. Its ability to generate feeds for products and blog posts, and seamlessly integrate with marketing tools, makes it a valuable asset for driving traffic and engagement. Merchants not dealing with gift cards/store credits migration can safely ignore Selling Point.
