Selling Point vs Store Clone ‑ Easy Migrationfor Shopify (2026)
Selling Point and Store Clone ‑ Easy Migration are Shopify apps addressing data migration needs, but cater to distinct merchant requirements. Selling Point focuses exclusively on migrating gift cards and store credits from other platforms to Shopify. It positions itself as a user-friendly alternative to manual migration or custom development, targeting merchants who have existing gift card programs on other systems and want to bring them to Shopify. Store Clone, conversely, aims to streamline the duplication of entire Shopify stores. It targets merchants managing multiple brands, development stores, or those requiring testing environments. The primary distinction lies in their scope. Selling Point offers a niche solution for gift card migration, while Store Clone provides a more comprehensive store replication service. Selling Point's strength lies in its specialization, ease of use for its specific task, and generally stronger user feedback. Store Clone's strength is its ability to duplicate an entire store, saving time and effort for merchants with complex setups. However, it currently has significantly fewer reviews and a lower average rating than Selling Point. This suggests that it may be newer or that users have found it less successful, on average, in accomplishing its intended purpose.

Our Verdict
Selling Point is the clear choice for merchants whose primary need is to migrate existing gift cards and store credits into their Shopify store. Its high rating and numerous positive reviews suggest it reliably fulfills its promise of easy and efficient migration. Its focus on a specific task allows for a simpler and more streamlined user experience.
Store Clone ‑ Easy Migration is better suited for merchants who need to replicate entire stores for various purposes such as managing multiple brands, creating testing environments, or simplifying development workflows. However, the low rating and single review suggest caution; merchants should thoroughly investigate its capabilities and recent user feedback before committing. While the concept is valuable, the execution and user satisfaction may not be as strong as Selling Point.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to use?
Selling Point is likely easier to use if you are only migrating gift cards. Store Clone, while aiming for automation, involves more complex store setup and duplication processes, potentially leading to a steeper learning curve.
Can Selling Point migrate my product data?
No, Selling Point is specifically designed for migrating Gift Cards and Store Credits. It does not handle product data migration.
Does Store Clone handle gift cards?

It would likely duplicate the existing gift card setup (if any) from the source store, rather than migrating data from external systems like Selling Point does.
Is Selling Point expensive?
The information provided doesn't include pricing details for either app. You would need to check the Shopify App Store listing for current pricing.
Should I trust Store Clone with only one review?
A single review should be viewed with caution. While it doesn't automatically mean the app is bad, it's wise to conduct thorough research, contact the developer with specific questions, and potentially explore alternative apps before committing to Store Clone ‑ Easy Migration.
