Our Verdict
For merchants heavily focused on crafting highly effective, brand-consistent, and accessible alt text for every image and are comfortable with some degree of customization, SEO HERO AI Alt Text Generator is the stronger choice. Its AI-driven approach and focus on detail make it ideal for stores where image SEO is a top priority. However, due to the low number of reviews (28), the app might be too new and untested for some to trust it.
On the other hand, SEO Speed Image Optimizer is a better fit for merchants prioritizing overall site speed and want a simple, all-in-one solution to optimize images. The larger number of reviews suggests a more established product and user confidence. It's especially useful for those new to image optimization or those who simply want a quick way to improve their site's performance and SEO without extensive customization.
