Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing image optimization as a core SEO strategy and looking for a simple, automated solution for image compression, resizing, and alt-text, SEO Speed Image Optimizer is the better choice. Its focus on image-specific SEO and the SEO image report makes it ideal for stores with many images. However, merchants who need a more comprehensive SEO solution addressing various aspects of site optimization, including rich snippets and rank tracking, and are aiming to reduce their reliance on paid ads, should consider Strong SEO Optimizer + Speed. While it has a slightly lower rating and fewer reviews, its broader feature set might provide a more impactful SEO boost for those seeking holistic improvements.
Common Questions
Which app is better for improving site speed?
Both apps claim to improve site speed. SEO Speed Image Optimizer focuses on image optimization, which can significantly impact page load times. Strong SEO Optimizer + Speed uses page pre-loading. The best app depends on the primary speed bottleneck; if images are the issue, choose SEO Speed Image Optimizer. If not, Strong SEO Optimizer + Speed might be more beneficial.
Which app is easier to use?
While neither app explicitly mentions ease of use, SEO Speed Image Optimizer likely has a simpler interface due to its focused functionality. Strong SEO Optimizer + Speed, with its broader range of features, might require more time to configure and understand.
Does SEO Speed Image Optimizer handle all SEO aspects, or just image optimization?
SEO Speed Image Optimizer primarily focuses on image optimization aspects like alt text and compression. While image optimization contributes to overall SEO, it doesn't cover all SEO aspects like keyword research, content optimization, or link building. It's a specialized tool.
Is Strong SEO Optimizer + Speed a complete replacement for an SEO expert?
Strong SEO Optimizer + Speed automates several SEO tasks, but it's unlikely to replace the need for an SEO expert completely. Complex SEO strategies often require human expertise for tasks like keyword research, content creation, and competitive analysis. The app is a helpful tool, not a replacement for expertise.
Which app offers better reporting on SEO performance?
SEO Speed Image Optimizer offers an 'SEO Image report,' which tracks image optimization progress, storage saved, and SEO impact specifically related to images. Strong SEO Optimizer + Speed provides 'Organic Ranking Tracking with Daily Alerts.' The better reporting depends on which SEO aspects you want to monitor. For image-specific SEO, choose SEO Speed Image Optimizer; for overall ranking, choose Strong SEO Optimizer + Speed.
