SEO Speed Image Optimizer vs TikTok Feed ‑ Shoppable Videosfor Shopify (2026)
SEO Speed Image Optimizer and TikTok Feed ‑ Shoppable Videos, while both categorized under 'Images and Media' on Shopify, cater to vastly different needs. SEO Speed Image Optimizer focuses on improving website performance and SEO ranking by optimizing images through resizing, compression, and alt text optimization. It aims to enhance the technical aspects of a store's visual content to improve site speed and search engine visibility. In contrast, TikTok Feed ‑ Shoppable Videos focuses on leveraging social media content, specifically TikTok videos and user-generated content (UGC), to directly drive sales through shoppable video feeds on the store. The SEO Speed Image Optimizer targets merchants concerned with technical SEO and site performance, especially those with large image libraries who want to automate image optimization. Its strength lies in its ability to improve a store's backend and improve its discoverability on search engines. TikTok Feed ‑ Shoppable Videos, on the other hand, targets merchants actively using TikTok or who want to integrate social proof into their storefront. Its strength is enabling user-generated content to be shoppable and drive direct conversions from visual content already produced for TikTok.
