SEOAnt ‑ Page Speed Optimizer vs VF Image Resizer+for Shopify (2026)
SEOAnt ‑ Page Speed Optimizer focuses primarily on improving website speed through intelligent link preloading, targeting merchants concerned with user experience and conversion rates affected by slow loading times. Its value proposition is ease of use and immediate impact without requiring technical expertise. VF Image Resizer+ takes a broader approach, offering a comprehensive suite of image optimization tools, including resizing, compression, watermarking, and SEO optimization of image alt-text and filenames. It caters to merchants who need a complete image management solution and want to enhance both the visual appeal and SEO performance of their online store. SEOAnt directly addresses page load speed through preloading, while VF Image Resizer+ indirectly impacts speed by optimizing image sizes and improving overall site organization. The target audience for SEOAnt is likely merchants who are facing issues with site speed and need a quick and code-free solution, especially on mobile. The VF Image Resizer+ is better suited for merchants with large product catalogs who need to streamline image management and improve SEO through image optimization, requiring more hands-on image adjustments.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with immediate improvements to page load speed and a simple, code-free solution, SEOAnt ‑ Page Speed Optimizer is the better choice. Its link preloading technology offers a quick and easy way to boost site performance, especially on mobile devices. It is the obvious choice if site speed is the single bottleneck a merchant is trying to address.
However, for merchants needing a more comprehensive image management solution with features like bulk resizing, watermarking, and SEO optimization of image attributes, VF Image Resizer+ is the superior option. This app offers greater control over image appearance and SEO, making it suitable for stores with extensive product catalogs or those prioritizing visual branding and organic traffic from image search.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
SEOAnt boasts "zero setup" and emphasizes its ease of use for those without technical skills. VF Image Resizer+ mentions "one-click" actions, suggesting a user-friendly experience, but will likely require more initial configuration to tailor the image optimization process to specific needs.
Which app is better for improving SEO?
VF Image Resizer+ directly targets image SEO by allowing you to optimize alt-text and filenames, which can improve your rankings in image search results. SEOAnt improves SEO indirectly by increasing site speed, which is a ranking factor in Google's algorithm.
What type of support do the apps offer?
SEOAnt offers 24/7 live support, while the support offered by VF Image Resizer+ is not specified in the description. Therefore, SEOAnt may be better suited for merchants who require immediate and accessible support.
If I am on a very tight budget, which app is likely better?
Without pricing information, this cannot be definitively determined. However, the apps' feature sets suggest that SEOAnt might be the simpler solution and therefore *potentially* less expensive. It's best to examine their respective pricing tiers and free trial options.
Does one app support more image types than the other?
VF Image Resizer+ explicitly states support for jpg, png, gif, webp, and heic image formats. SEOAnt does not specify its supported image types, so VF Image Resizer+ is the safer bet if your store uses a variety of formats.
