SEON Fraud Prevention vs Zigpoll Customer Surveysfor Shopify (2026)
SEON Fraud Prevention and Zigpoll Customer Surveys address vastly different operational needs for Shopify merchants in 2026. SEON focuses on mitigating financial risk by identifying and preventing fraudulent transactions, aiming to protect merchants from chargebacks and losses. Its strength lies in its AI-powered real-time analysis of various data points to validate transactions and its ability to customize fraud rules, making it appealing to merchants handling a high volume of transactions or those particularly susceptible to fraud. Conversely, Zigpoll focuses on gathering customer feedback and insights to improve the overall customer experience and optimize business decisions. Zigpoll's value proposition centers around easily deploying customizable surveys across various touchpoints (on-site, email, SMS), integrated with Shopify and the marketing stack. Its AI analytics provides merchants with actionable insights based on the collected zero-party data. The app's strength lies in its ease of use, multi-lingual support, and features like abandoned checkout campaigns, attracting merchants focused on customer retention, brand building, and conversion rate optimization. While both fall under the 'Operations' category, they cater to fundamentally different operational areas.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with protecting their revenue and mitigating financial risk from fraudulent transactions, SEON Fraud Prevention is the clear choice. Its AI-powered fraud detection and customizable rules offer a robust defense against malicious activities. However, for merchants prioritizing customer experience, seeking to understand customer needs, and looking to improve conversion rates through data-driven insights, Zigpoll Customer Surveys is the more suitable option. Its ease of use and integration capabilities make it a powerful tool for gathering and analyzing customer feedback.
In short, SEON protects your bottom line from fraud; Zigpoll grows your business through customer understanding. The best choice depends entirely on your business's current needs and priorities. A store with significant fraud concerns should prioritize SEON. A store focused on growth through customer feedback should prioritize Zigpoll.
Common Questions
Can both apps be used together?
Yes, technically. They address separate issues. A merchant could use SEON for fraud prevention and Zigpoll to gather customer feedback, but this would increase operational overhead and associated costs.
Is one app easier to implement than the other?
Zigpoll seems easier to implement. The description explicitly states "no-code setup in seconds," while SEON mentions "Integration: connect to SEON's platform."
Which app is more cost-effective for small businesses?
Cost-effectiveness depends on pricing models, which are not provided. However, consider that smaller businesses might benefit more from focusing on customer experience early on, making Zigpoll potentially a higher-value investment initially.
Does either app offer a free trial?
This information is not provided in the app descriptions. Merchants would need to check the Shopify App Store listing or the app developers' websites for free trial information.
Which app provides more detailed reporting?
SEON provides "data-driven insights" for assessing and optimizing fraud rules, while Zigpoll offers "AI analytics and our dashboard". The level of detail likely depends on the specific dashboards and reports offered by each app, which would require further investigation.
