Our Verdict
The choice between Shadowfax ‑ Logistics Platform and Synctrack PayPal Tracking Sync hinges entirely on the merchant's specific needs. If a merchant's priority is streamlining domestic order shipping within India, offering fast delivery options, and managing returns efficiently, Shadowfax could be a suitable, albeit risky, option considering its low rating and limited reviews. However, it would require significant due diligence given the user feedback. On the other hand, if a merchant uses PayPal and Stripe, and seeks to accelerate fund availability, reduce disputes, and enhance trust by automatically syncing tracking information, Synctrack is the clear winner, supported by a high rating and a substantial number of positive reviews. For most Shopify merchants outside of India, Synctrack is the more useful and reliable choice.
Common Questions
Which app is better for international shipping?
Shadowfax ‑ Logistics Platform focuses on deliveries within India, so it's not suitable for international shipping. Synctrack PayPal Tracking Sync doesn't directly handle shipping but helps sync tracking info for all sales channels, including international, to PayPal to speed up payments.
Which app helps reduce chargebacks?
Synctrack PayPal Tracking Sync is specifically designed to reduce PayPal disputes and chargebacks by automatically syncing tracking information. While Shadowfax includes doorstep quality checks which might reduce returns, it is not the primary function for reducing chargebacks.
If I don't use PayPal, is Synctrack useful?
Synctrack syncs tracking information to both PayPal and Stripe. If you use Stripe, it would be beneficial. If you use neither, it's not useful.
Is Shadowfax difficult to integrate with Shopify?
Shadowfax claims a 'single-click integration' which suggests ease of use, however, with only one review and a low rating, actual user experience may vary.
Which app should I choose if I want to improve customer communication regarding their order?
Shadowfax offers enhanced customer experience with live tracking & WhatsApp/SMS updates. Synctrack, while it doesn't directly communicate with customers, provides transparency to PayPal, which improves the merchants' status with PayPal.
