Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with managing shipping issues, reducing customer inquiries regarding delivery, and automating customer communication regarding shipping, ShipAware is the clear choice. Its integration with Slack allows for immediate awareness and faster response times to various shop activities, improving overall operational efficiency. While both have only one review, the features provided signal the best fit for each type of merchant.
Common Questions
Which app is better for reducing 'Where Is My Order' (WISMO) inquiries?
ShipAware is specifically designed to reduce WISMO inquiries by providing proactive alerts about potential shipping delays and automatically notifying customers about their order's status.
Can both apps send notifications to multiple locations?
ShipAware sends notifications via email and SMS, ostensibly to customers and staff. SmartNotify for Slack can send notifications to multiple Slack channels within the same or different workspaces.
Which app is easier to integrate into an existing workflow?
This depends on the existing workflow. If the team already uses Slack heavily, SmartNotify for Slack would likely be a smoother integration. If the workflow involves a dedicated shipping and fulfillment team managing customer service tickets, ShipAware might be easier to integrate due to its specific focus.
Do these apps integrate with dropshipping suppliers?
ShipAware mentions supporting dropship orders, while SmartNotify for Slack does not explicitly mention dropshipping integration. Assuming ShipAware can identify dropship orders, it could assist in addressing fulfillment issues.
If I only want to be notified about high-value orders, which app is better?
SmartNotify for Slack allows you to configure conditions for notifications. Therefore, you could set a condition to only receive notifications for orders exceeding a certain value. ShipAware's feature set isn't designed for filtering by order value.
