Shipping Rates by Postcode vs Store Pickup + Delivery (CR)for Shopify (2026)
Shipping Rates by Postcode and Store Pickup + Delivery (CR) are both Shopify apps in the Delivery and pickup category, but cater to different needs. Shipping Rates by Postcode focuses on providing accurate, carrier-calculated shipping rates based on location, weight, and cart contents. Its primary aim is to reduce cart abandonment by offering transparent shipping costs and enabling merchants to manage shipping profitability by configuring advanced rules based on postcode or region. It seems globally available with good support for AUS, UK, NZ, CA and more, requiring carrier calculated shipping to use. Store Pickup + Delivery (CR), on the other hand, is geared towards merchants offering local pickup and/or delivery options. Its strength lies in scheduling and managing these local fulfillment methods, allowing customers to choose pickup/delivery dates and times, and enabling merchants to control capacity and organization through time slot limits and order tagging. Its feature set is particularly suitable for businesses like restaurants managing local order fulfillment, or any retailer wanting to enable easy local order pickup.
