It's aimed at merchants looking to add a new revenue stream and reduce liability for lost or damaged packages, positioning itself as a simple alternative to more established solutions. Our Verdict
ShipPro Shipping Protection is ideal for merchants who want to generate additional revenue and offload the risk of lost or damaged packages by offering customers shipping protection. It's particularly suitable for smaller businesses or those just starting out due to its focus on simplicity and retaining all collected premiums. Synctrack: Returns & Exchanges is better suited for businesses processing a significant volume of returns that need to streamline the process and improve customer satisfaction. The robust carrier integrations and automated features would save time and resources for companies that handle a lot of returns. A business might consider using both apps, but they address different aspects of the post-purchase journey.
Common Questions
Which app is better for increasing revenue?
ShipPro Shipping Protection is explicitly designed to increase revenue by allowing merchants to charge a percentage of the order value as shipping protection and retain 100% of those premiums. Synctrack doesn't directly generate revenue, but can indirectly increase revenue by fostering customer loyalty and repeat purchases through a positive return experience.
Which app offers better integration with shipping carriers?
Synctrack: Returns & Exchanges offers far superior integration with over 2,900 carriers, including Shippo, Sendcloud, FedEx, and others. ShipPro mentions seamless integration with themes, but doesn't detail shipping carrier integrations.
Which app is easier to set up and use?
ShipPro Shipping Protection touts its simple, intuitive design and product setup tools. While Synctrack may offer more robust features, it is also likely more complex to configure due to the automation and carrier integrations. However, both have stated they have strong customer support.
Which app is more focused on improving the customer experience?
Both apps aim to improve customer experience but in different ways. ShipPro enhances perceived value during the initial purchase, while Synctrack improves the experience after a purchase has gone wrong (returns). Therefore Synctrack is probably better because it is directly dealing with customers experiencing some sort of dissatisfaction.
Do these apps compete with each other directly?
No, they address very different aspects of the post-purchase process. One is focused on revenue and protection against lost or damaged items, the other on managing returns and exchanges. A merchant could potentially use both to offer a comprehensive post-purchase experience.
