Our Verdict
For merchants needing comprehensive control over shipping rates, particularly those offering diverse products with varying dimensions and shipping origins, ShipX ‑ Shipping Rates & Rules is the superior choice. Its AI-powered packaging and rate blending capabilities allow for fine-tuned shipping costs and optimization. However, businesses primarily operating within the Czech Republic and the EU, especially those already utilizing or intending to use Packeta's network for deliveries, will find Zasilkovna • Packeta connect to be a more streamlined and efficient solution for managing pickup points and order tracking within the Packeta ecosystem. While ShipX has more reviews and a slightly higher rating, the choice ultimately depends on the merchant's specific shipping infrastructure and geographical focus.
Common Questions
Which app is better for international shipping?
ShipX is generally better for international shipping due to its ability to calculate rates based on various factors, including location and carrier integration. Zasilkovna focuses on the Packeta network, which has a strong presence in the Czech Republic and EU, but might not be suitable for shipping outside that area.
Which app is easier to set up?
Zasilkovna is likely easier to set up if you're already using Packeta, as it directly integrates with their network. ShipX, while powerful, requires more configuration to define shipping rules and integrate with carriers.
Does ShipX support pickup points?
The provided description for ShipX doesn't explicitly mention pickup point support. Its primary focus is on rate calculation and custom shipping rules.
Which app helps minimize shipping costs the most?
ShipX is designed to help minimize shipping costs through its AI-based packaging algorithm, rate blending, and precise calculations based on various factors like dimensions and location. Zasilkovna's cost benefits come from leveraging the efficiency of the Packeta network but does not itself calculate optimized shipping costs.
Can both apps be used together?
Potentially, but it might be redundant. If a merchant wants granular control over all shipping rates and also use Packeta's pickup points, then ShipX could handle the complex rate calculations while Zasilkovna manages the Packeta-specific logistics. However, for most use cases, one app will be sufficient based on their shipping needs.
