ShopHelten Assistent vs WeSupply Returns & Exchangesfor Shopify (2026)
ShopHelten Assistent and WeSupply Returns & Exchanges both fall under the 'Staff notifications' category on the Shopify App Store, but they address very different needs. ShopHelten Assistent focuses on monitoring the uptime and functionality of a merchant's key integrations like payment gateways, shipping providers, and marketing platforms. Its primary aim is to prevent lost orders and wasted ad spend by proactively alerting merchants to system outages. WeSupply Returns & Exchanges, on the other hand, focuses on streamlining the returns and exchanges process for customers and staff. It's targeted at merchants needing a robust system to manage reverse logistics, improve customer satisfaction, and automate return-related tasks. The critical distinction lies in their core functionalities and the problems they solve. ShopHelten Assistent is a proactive monitoring tool, while WeSupply Returns & Exchanges is a reactive process management tool. While both apps can notify staff, they do so in response to entirely different triggers: system outages for ShopHelten Assistent, and customer-initiated returns/exchanges for WeSupply. The significant difference in user reviews and ratings also provides critical information when deciding which app to choose. ShopHelten Assistent has no reviews indicating that very few stores use this app, and no customer has left a positive review. Conversely, WeSupply Return and Exchanges has a perfect rating (5/5) from 11 users. Given the ratings, user reviews, and described function, it is unlikely that a merchant would chose ShopHelten Assistent over WeSupply Returns & Exchanges. A merchant in 2026 has many well established staff notification apps from which to choose. The lack of reviews of ShopHelten Assistent suggests a lack of adoption and/or issues. Unless a merchant has specific needs covered solely by ShopHelten Assistent and no other app, it will not be the best choice.

Our Verdict
WeSupply Returns & Exchanges is the clear choice for merchants prioritizing efficient returns and exchanges. Its perfect rating and existing user base suggest a reliable and valuable solution. It's ideal for businesses that want to automate return processes and improve customer satisfaction through a seamless returns experience.
ShopHelten Assistent is a niche product, and given the lack of reviews and zero rating, it's difficult to recommend in its current state. Unless a merchant has a very specific need for monitoring the platforms listed (Pensopay, Shipmondo, etc.) that isn't addressed by more established monitoring tools and doesn't mind being an early adopter, WeSupply Returns and Exchanges will likely be a better solution in 2026. Also, the names of integrations covered by ShopHelten Assistent are mostly specific to Europe which limits the app's reach beyond Europe.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
ShopHelten Assistent claims a 'one-click install', suggesting potentially simpler initial setup compared to WeSupply Returns & Exchanges, which likely requires more configuration to handle returns and exchanges workflows. However, without user reviews, it is difficult to verify the claim.
Which app offers better customer support?
The available data doesn't provide information on customer support for either app. However, WeSupply Returns & Exchanges has 11 reviews, which may indicate a more established support system compared to ShopHelten Assistent, which has none.
Which app is more suitable for a small business?
WeSupply Returns & Exchanges is likely more relevant to a broader range of small businesses as most businesses have at least some requirement for returns and exchanges, while ShopHelten Assistent caters to a niche need of monitoring platform uptime.
Are there any overlap in functionality between the apps?
Both apps offer staff notifications, but they trigger those notifications in very different contexts. ShopHelten Assistent notifies about system outages, while WeSupply notifies about returns/exchanges. Therefore, the overlap is minimal.
If a merchant's priority is minimizing downtime, which app is better?
ShopHelten Assistent is *intended* to be better for minimizing downtime, but its lack of reviews raises concerns. If uptime is a critical concern, the merchant should research alternative monitoring solutions with established track records and positive reviews.
