Shopify Order Printer vs Shoptopus: Invoice Generatorfor Shopify (2026)
Shopify Order Printer and Shoptopus: Invoice Generator both address the need for customizable order documents, but cater to distinct merchant profiles. Shopify Order Printer, despite its lower rating (2.7/5) and larger review count (302), offers granular control over template design using HTML, CSS, and Liquid. This positions it as a solution for developers or merchants with technical expertise who require highly customized documents and prefer a free solution. Its bulk printing capability up to 50 orders is also a plus for larger fulfillment operations. However, the lower rating suggests potential usability issues or areas where the app falls short of expectations. Shoptopus: Invoice Generator, on the other hand, prioritizes ease of use with a visual editor and pre-built templates. Its perfect 5/5 rating, albeit from a smaller review base (24), suggests high user satisfaction. It supports a wider range of document types, including credit notes and return forms, making it a more complete solution for customer service scenarios. The focus on compliance and correct tax values further simplifies the invoice creation process for merchants without extensive accounting knowledge.

Our Verdict
For merchants comfortable with code and seeking deep customization options without cost, Shopify Order Printer is a viable, albeit potentially challenging, choice. Its bulk printing feature is also a strong advantage for medium-sized operations. However, its lower rating should be a red flag to investigate user reviews before committing. Shoptopus: Invoice Generator is the better option for merchants who prioritize ease of use, a polished aesthetic, compliance, and require a broader range of document types beyond basic invoices and packing slips. The higher rating and explicit mention of support for tax values and country-specific compliance makes it ideal for smaller businesses needing a reliable and hassle-free solution.
