Our Verdict
A merchant could use both apps, offering planet protection while ensuring a smooth tracking experience for the customer. But for a starting e-commerce business, Track123's immediate revenue benefits and customer trust are more important than planet protection. Only after you are making solid sales is Planet a good additional product to add to your checkout.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Both apps advertise an easy setup process, but Track123 emphasizes its intuitive, no-code interface, suggesting it might be slightly easier for users with limited technical expertise. Shopify Planet states 'Pick a plan, you're set.' This also highlights an easy set up.
Which app is more likely to drive repeat sales?
Track123 is explicitly designed to drive repeat sales through product recommendations and branded post-purchase communication. While Shopify Planet can increase customer loyalty among environmentally conscious consumers, it doesn't directly focus on repeat sales strategies.
Which app is better for reducing customer support inquiries?
Track123 directly addresses this by aiming to reduce WISMO (Where Is My Order) inquiries through real-time order updates and automated emails. Shopify Planet does not directly impact customer support inquiries related to order tracking.
Which app is more expensive?
The provided information does not include pricing details for either app, so it's impossible to determine which is more expensive. Additional research would be needed to compare their pricing structures.
Which app has a better user satisfaction rating?
Track123 Order Tracking has a significantly higher user satisfaction rating (4.9/5) compared to Shopify Planet (3.2/5). This suggests that Track123 users are generally more satisfied with the app's features and performance.
If I only have budget for one, which should I pick?
Given that the customer tracking side of a business is directly associated with its profits, a newer store should pick Track123. This will lead to happier customers and easier customer service. Planet is for mature stores that can afford to offer planet protection, because they have the extra funds and resources to do so.
