Our Verdict
The choice between Shopney and Wishlist Pro depends entirely on the merchant's primary objective. If the goal is to establish a strong mobile presence with a dedicated app, personalized experiences, and push notification capabilities, Shopney is the clear winner. The large number of positive reviews suggests a proven track record of success.
However, if the focus is on enhancing the shopping experience through wishlist functionality, particularly for B2B scenarios involving bulk ordering and easy reordering, Wishlist Pro is more suitable. While Wishlist Pro has fewer reviews, its specific features cater well to merchants seeking to improve customer loyalty and streamline the order process using lists. A merchant could even consider using both, provided their budget allows, as they solve different aspects of customer engagement.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Both apps claim to be easy to set up. Shopney mentions 'one-click' app creation and no coding, while Wishlist Pro advertises a setup time of less than 5 minutes. Without direct testing, it's difficult to say which is *easier*, but both aim for simplicity.
Which app is better for increasing sales?
Shopney directly states its goal is to increase sales and decrease ad spend through a mobile app. Wishlist Pro aims to elevate conversions and maintain brand prominence, which indirectly contributes to increased sales. The 'better' app depends on the merchant's overall strategy. A dedicated mobile app (Shopney) can offer more sales potential if promoted correctly.
Which app is more suitable for B2B businesses?
Wishlist Pro has features specifically designed for B2B, such as CSV wishlist uploads for efficient order processing. Shopney doesn't explicitly cater to B2B needs.
Which app is better for long-term customer retention?
Shopney's push notifications and personalized shopping experiences within a dedicated app are designed to foster long-term customer retention. Wishlist Pro's list-sharing and 'save for later' features also encourage return visits, but the mobile app approach may offer more opportunities for ongoing engagement.
Can these apps be used together?
Yes, it is possible to use these apps in conjunction as they perform separate functions. Shopney builds a mobile app, while Wishlist Pro enhances the wishlist experience within the existing Shopify store. The merchant will need to verify compatibility with their theme and other apps they use.
