Shopney ‑ Mobile App Builder vs Wishlistify by Byte Appsfor Shopify (2026)
Shopney ‑ Mobile App Builder and Wishlistify by Byte Apps both aim to enhance customer loyalty, but they approach this goal from vastly different angles. Shopney focuses on creating native mobile apps (iOS & Android) for Shopify stores, providing a comprehensive mobile shopping experience with features like push notifications, in-app live chat, and integration with other Shopify apps. Its key strength lies in enabling merchants to offer a faster, more personalized shopping experience that boosts conversions and retention without heavy reliance on social advertising. Shopney targets merchants looking to make a substantial investment in a mobile-first strategy. Wishlistify, on the other hand, is a simple, focused app that adds wishlist functionality to existing Shopify stores. Its strength lies in its simplicity and ease of integration, allowing customers to save favorite products and encouraging repeat visits. Wishlistify targets merchants looking for a lightweight, easy-to-implement solution to improve customer engagement and encourage return purchases. It also has Facebook Pixel tracking, useful for remarketing. The differences are stark: Shopney offers a complete mobile app solution, while Wishlistify offers a single, specific feature within the existing web store experience.

Our Verdict
For merchants seeking a comprehensive mobile-first strategy and willing to invest in building a native mobile app, Shopney ‑ Mobile App Builder is the clear choice. Its rich features, focus on personalization, and tools for app installation make it a powerful option for driving sales and retention. However, it requires a greater investment of time and resources. Wishlistify by Byte Apps is better suited for merchants looking for a quick, easy, and affordable way to enhance customer engagement on their existing web store. It's a simple yet effective tool for encouraging repeat visits and purchases without requiring a complete overhaul of the mobile experience. While both have 5/5 stars, the number of reviews strongly suggests Shopney has a much larger user base at this point in time.
