Shortly — Affiliate Marketing vs Synctrack PayPal Tracking Syncfor Shopify (2026)
Shortly — Affiliate Marketing and Synctrack PayPal Tracking Sync, while both appearing under the 'Orders' and 'Order tracking' Shopify categories, address fundamentally different merchant needs. Shortly focuses on enabling and managing affiliate marketing programs, likely helping merchants increase sales through partnerships. Synctrack, on the other hand, is laser-focused on automating the synchronization of order tracking information with PayPal (and Stripe), aiming to accelerate fund disbursement, reduce disputes, and improve PayPal trust. Their target audiences and core functionalities are distinct. Synctrack's strength lies in its technical partnership with PayPal and its comprehensive automation of tracking sync across multiple channels, including Facebook and Instagram. The app’s higher number of reviews and perfect rating suggest a strong track record of customer satisfaction regarding its core promise. Conversely, Shortly's slightly lower rating and review count may indicate a smaller user base or potentially more nuanced implementation challenges inherent in affiliate marketing programs. The value proposition of Shortly centers on driving revenue through affiliate partnerships, while Synctrack's value stems from operational efficiency, risk mitigation, and faster access to funds.

Our Verdict
Choosing between Shortly and Synctrack depends entirely on a merchant's specific needs. If the goal is to establish and manage an affiliate marketing program to drive sales, Shortly — Affiliate Marketing is the more appropriate choice. The rating indicates a generally positive experience.
However, if a merchant's primary concern is streamlining PayPal and Stripe payouts, reducing disputes, and improving operational efficiency around order tracking, Synctrack PayPal Tracking Sync is the clear winner. Its higher rating, significantly larger review count, and specific feature set demonstrate its suitability for this purpose. Businesses processing a high volume of transactions through PayPal, especially those selling through Facebook and Instagram, will find Synctrack particularly valuable.
