Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing a fully automated, hands-off approach to sales tax compliance across all US states, Sidr Tax appears to be the stronger choice. Its emphasis on automation and comprehensive service, including registration, reporting, and filing, simplifies the process significantly. However, if a merchant operates or plans to operate in states participating in the Streamlined Sales Tax (SST) program, TaxCloud's certification and focus on unlocking potential savings in those states make it the more compelling option. TaxCloud is also better positioned for merchants selling across multiple channels.
