Signifyd vs Yofifor Shopify (2026)
Signifyd and Yofi both target fraud prevention on Shopify, but approach it from different angles. Signifyd positions itself as an end-to-end protection platform guaranteeing chargeback coverage and optimized returns through AI-powered decisioning. It's focused on protecting the entire customer journey, from initial purchase to returns, and aims to provide merchants with peace of mind through its financial guarantees and broad feature set. Signifyd seems more geared towards larger businesses seeking comprehensive fraud and return management with financial backing. Yofi, on the other hand, focuses specifically on return abuse and fraud, leveraging AI to detect suspicious customer behaviors. Its emphasis is on empowering CX reps with risk scores and automating return policy segmentation. Yofi seems to be positioned for merchants who are specifically struggling with return-related fraud and want a tool to identify and manage abusive customers and optimize their return policies. It seems suited for companies of smaller sizes or with less complex fraud situations.

Our Verdict
For larger Shopify stores needing comprehensive fraud protection and a financial guarantee against chargebacks, Signifyd is the more robust option. Its end-to-end coverage and focus on maximizing conversions make it suitable for businesses prioritizing growth and risk mitigation across the entire customer journey. However, for merchants primarily concerned with return fraud and abuse, particularly those with smaller operations or dedicated customer support teams, Yofi offers a more targeted solution. Its focus on identifying and managing abusive customers, combined with its CX rep empowerment features, makes it a good fit for businesses seeking to optimize their return policies and reduce losses from fraudulent returns. The vastly different number of reviews should factor into the decision - Yofi could be a great new app, but it lacks significant user validation compared to Signifyd.
