Simply Shipping Protection vs SureBright Product Protectionfor Shopify (2026)
Simply Shipping Protection and SureBright Product Protection both operate in the Shopify returns and warranty space, but cater to different merchant needs and risk tolerances. Simply Shipping Protection empowers merchants to manage their own shipping protection program entirely, providing control over pricing, claims processing, and payouts. This offers maximum flexibility but requires active management and assumes the financial risk of claim payouts. It's best suited for merchants seeking complete control and wanting to build a branded protection experience. SureBright Product Protection, on the other hand, is a fully managed solution offering both extended warranties and shipping insurance. They handle the financial risk, customer support, and claims processing, allowing merchants to focus on their core business. Merchants receive a revenue share, making it an attractive option for those seeking a hands-off approach. Its coverage also extends to accidental damage, providing a broader range of protection.

Our Verdict
For merchants who want complete control over their shipping protection program, including pricing, claims management, and customer experience, Simply Shipping Protection is the superior choice. This app allows for deep customization and integration with existing loyalty and support systems. However, it also requires the merchant to absorb the financial risk associated with claims. SureBright Product Protection is ideal for merchants who prefer a hands-off solution and are comfortable sharing revenue in exchange for comprehensive coverage (including accidental damage) and outsourced claims management. Its broader protection and minimal time commitment make it particularly appealing to businesses that prioritize ease of use and risk mitigation.
Common Questions

Which app offers a broader range of product protection?
SureBright Product Protection offers a broader range of protection with extended warranty options that cover accidental damage, going beyond basic shipping protection.
Which app is better for brand consistency?
Both apps claim customizability to match brand look and feel. Without further details on the level of customization available in each, it's difficult to determine which is definitively 'better' for brand consistency, but both appear to offer options to align with brand guidelines.
Which app would be more profitable for merchants?
The profitability of each app depends on various factors, including the merchant's profit margins, claim rates, and pricing strategy.
