Singleton | Dual Price Display vs TaxJar Sales Tax Automationfor Shopify (2026)
Singleton | Dual Price Display and TaxJar Sales Tax Automation, while both falling under Shopify's Finances and Taxes categories, serve distinctly different purposes for merchants. Singleton focuses on the display of prices, allowing merchants to show both tax-inclusive and tax-exclusive prices to cater to different customer segments (B2B and B2C). It also offers granular control over tax rules based on country, product, and customer tags. This is beneficial for merchants needing to visually present pricing options that comply with different regional or customer-specific tax requirements. TaxJar, on the other hand, is a comprehensive sales tax compliance solution. It automates sales tax calculations, product classification, and multi-state filing, aiming to streamline the back-end processes related to tax management. Its key features revolve around simplifying and automating complex tax calculations and filing procedures. TaxJar’s lower rating and fewer reviews may reflect the complexity of the problems it solves and potential user difficulty, or indicate evolving features and improvements.
