Singleton | Verify Customers vs Tariff Support by Intelligemsfor Shopify (2026)
Singleton | Verify Customers and Tariff Support by Intelligems are both Shopify apps falling under the 'Pricing' category, but they address vastly different needs for Shopify merchants. Singleton focuses on customer access control, allowing merchants to verify customers and restrict access to pricing and 'add to cart' functionalities. This is particularly useful for businesses needing gated access or B2B operations. In contrast, Tariff Support by Intelligems is designed to transparently manage and display tariff charges to customers, aiming to protect merchant margins by breaking out these costs. The primary distinction lies in their core functionality: Singleton is about controlling *who* sees pricing, while Tariff Support is about managing *what* that pricing includes. Singleton offers features like custom registration forms, customer approval workflows, and content restriction. Tariff Support provides tools for displaying tariffs on specific products and configuring tariff percentages, along with advanced targeting options. They both aim to help increase profits but from different angles. Singleton excels in user reviews, boasting a perfect 5/5 rating from a much larger pool of reviewers (78) compared to Tariff Support's 3.5/5 rating based on only 2 reviews. This discrepancy suggests a potentially greater degree of satisfaction and reliability for Singleton, although the very low sample size for Tariff Support should be considered.

Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants needing strict control over customer access, such as wholesalers or businesses with membership models, Singleton | Verify Customers is the clear choice. Its high rating, substantial review count, and features like custom registration forms and approval workflows make it a compelling option. However, if a merchant is primarily concerned with managing and displaying tariff charges transparently to customers, Tariff Support by Intelligems is the better fit, despite the low review count suggesting the need for caution and further investigation before committing.
In short, Singleton is for access control, and Tariff Support is for cost transparency. If controlling *who* buys from you is the priority, Singleton is superior. If managing *how* your pricing is perceived due to tariffs is the priority, Tariff Support is the relevant tool, but with a higher degree of risk due to the very few reviews.
