Singleton | Verify Customers vs Top Social Loginfor Shopify (2026)
Singleton | Verify Customers and Top Social Login, while both falling under the 'Accounts and Login' category on Shopify, cater to drastically different merchant needs. Singleton | Verify Customers positions itself as a customer control and validation tool. Its strength lies in its ability to gate access to prices, 'add to cart' buttons, and even store content based on admin approval, offering fine-grained control over who can interact with the store. This is ideal for businesses with exclusive clientele, membership models, or B2B operations requiring vetted access. In contrast, Top Social Login aims to streamline the login and registration process by leveraging social media accounts. Its strength is its ease of use and focus on reducing friction for new user sign-ups, potentially boosting registration rates. It's designed for merchants seeking to simplify the account creation process and encourage more users to engage with their store without the barrier of a complex registration form. The stark difference in ratings and reviews signals a significant discrepancy in user satisfaction between the two apps, likely stemming from their divergent purposes and execution.

Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing stringent control over customer access, especially in B2B scenarios or membership-based services, Singleton | Verify Customers is the clear choice, despite potentially higher implementation complexity. The high rating and significant number of positive reviews strongly suggest it effectively delivers on its promise of customer verification and gated access.
However, if the primary objective is to simplify the user experience and boost registration rates by offering seamless social login options, Top Social Login might seem appealing. However, the very low rating and minimal reviews indicate significant issues with the app, potentially making it unreliable. Merchants should proceed with extreme caution and thoroughly investigate the root cause of the negative feedback before considering Top Social Login. A better alternative might be to explore *other* social login apps with higher ratings and more positive reviews.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Top Social Login claims automated setup. Singleton | Verify Customers, with custom registration fields and approval workflows, is likely more complex.
Which app is better for a B2B store?
Singleton | Verify Customers is specifically designed for B2B, allowing control over who sees prices and adds to cart.
Does either app offer customer support?
The app descriptions don't specify customer support details, which would require further investigation.
Which app better integrates with email marketing?
Neither description explicitly mentions email marketing integration. However, Singleton's ability to collect custom registration data might offer indirect advantages for targeted email campaigns.
If I only care about growing my customer base, which app should I choose?
The *intent* of Top Social Login is to grow the customer base. However, its 1-star rating and single review are red flags. A more reputable social login app should be considered. Singleton is not focused on customer acquisition but control.
