Singleton | Verify Customers vs T‑Selector (VAT Switcher)for Shopify (2026)
Singleton | Verify Customers and T‑Selector (VAT Switcher) address entirely different needs within Shopify stores, despite both impacting pricing visibility. Singleton focuses on customer verification and controlled access, enabling merchants to selectively display prices and 'add to cart' buttons to approved customers. This is ideal for businesses with wholesale components, membership programs, or those needing to restrict access based on specific criteria. T‑Selector, on the other hand, is focused on VAT switching, enabling merchants to dynamically adjust pricing based on customer location or VAT status, which is crucial for international sales and compliance with varying tax regulations. The key difference lies in their core functionality: Singleton controls *who* can see prices, while T-Selector adjusts *what* prices are shown. Singleton prioritizes customer access management and custom registration, allowing for granular control over the user experience. T-Selector focuses on VAT compliance and accurate pricing for international customers. The choice between the two hinges on whether the merchant needs to control access to products based on customer approval or ensure accurate VAT calculations based on location or other criteria.

Our Verdict
For merchants needing to restrict product visibility and control customer access based on specific criteria like membership or wholesale status, Singleton | Verify Customers is the superior choice. Its features for approving/declining customers and creating custom registration forms provide the necessary tools for managing user access effectively.
However, if the primary concern is accurate VAT calculations and location-based pricing for international customers, then T‑Selector (VAT Switcher) would be more suitable. While specific features are not listed, its core function of VAT switching directly addresses the need for compliant international sales. Therefore, the recommendation depends entirely on the merchant's specific requirements regarding customer access control versus VAT compliance.
