Singleton | Verify Customers vs Uncap Quote Requestsfor Shopify (2026)
Singleton | Verify Customers and Uncap Quote Requests are both Shopify apps that fall under the 'Pricing' and 'Pricing quotes' categories, but they address very different needs. Singleton | Verify Customers focuses on access control, allowing merchants to approve or decline customer registration and restrict access to product prices and 'add to cart' buttons. This is useful for B2B scenarios, wholesale pricing, or situations requiring customer vetting. Uncap Quote Requests, conversely, is designed to facilitate quote requests from customers. It adds 'Get Quote' buttons to product and cart pages, enabling customers to solicit custom pricing based on their needs or order volume. It is targeted toward scenarios where pricing isn't fixed or where custom orders are common.

Our Verdict
For merchants needing strict control over who sees their pricing and products, especially in B2B or wholesale environments, Singleton | Verify Customers is the clear choice, backed by a perfect rating and significant number of reviews. The custom registration form and access control features are ideal for this purpose. On the other hand, if a merchant wants to encourage customer engagement for custom pricing and generate more leads through quote requests, Uncap Quote Requests is designed for that need. However, the lack of reviews makes it a riskier choice. Merchants considering Uncap Quote Requests should thoroughly test its functionality and monitor its performance carefully, or wait for more reviews to be published before implementation.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up for a basic Shopify store?
Singleton | Verify Customers might require more initial configuration to set up the registration form and approval process, but its purpose is more straightforward. Uncap Quote Requests requires customizing the quote request form and button placement, which could involve more design considerations.
Which app is better for increasing sales?
Neither app directly increases sales, but they influence the buying process. Singleton | Verify Customers ensures only approved customers can purchase, potentially increasing sales with verified customers. Uncap Quote Requests can boost sales by enabling personalized pricing and lead generation through quote requests.
Can I use both apps together?
Potentially, but it depends on the specific business needs. You could use Singleton | Verify Customers to control access to your store and then use Uncap Quote Requests to allow approved customers to request custom pricing for specific products. However, this adds significant complexity.
Does either app offer a free plan?
The provided data does not mention pricing plans for either app. You would need to consult the Shopify App Store listings for current pricing information.
Which app requires more customer support?
It's hard to know for certain. However, given the lack of reviews for Uncap Quote Requests, users might need to rely more on customer support to troubleshoot potential issues, at least initially.
