Singleton | Verify Customers vs WBL ‑ Request a Quotefor Shopify (2026)
Singleton | Verify Customers and WBL - Request a Quote cater to distinct needs within the Shopify ecosystem. Singleton is designed for merchants who require strict control over customer access, especially regarding pricing visibility and purchasing ability. It focuses on verifying registered customers and tailoring their experience based on approval status. Key strengths lie in its customer verification, custom registration forms, and content restriction capabilities. This makes it well-suited for businesses with exclusive offerings or those targeting specific customer segments requiring pre-approval. WBL - Request a Quote, in contrast, addresses the requirements of merchants selling custom or bulk products where direct purchases are less common and negotiations are integral. Its core functionality revolves around facilitating quote requests from customers, enabling personalized offer management, and seamlessly converting these quotes into orders. The app aims to streamline the buying process for B2B and specialized sales, providing tools for managing quotes within the Shopify admin. Although it currently lacks reviews, it fills a crucial gap for merchants requiring a quote-based sales workflow.

Our Verdict
For merchants needing strict customer control and gated access to prices and 'add to cart' buttons, Singleton | Verify Customers is the clear choice. Its strong rating and ample reviews suggest a reliable and effective solution for managing customer access and tailoring their storefront experience.
However, if your business model revolves around custom orders or bulk sales where negotiation is key, WBL - Request a Quote addresses a specific need. While its lack of reviews presents a risk, it provides a valuable feature set for managing quotes and streamlining the sales process. Merchants dealing with custom orders or B2B transactions should consider its potential, keeping in mind the need for careful testing and monitoring due to the lack of prior user feedback.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Without user reviews for WBL, it's difficult to definitively say, but the description of Singleton suggests straightforward functionality with potentially more initial setup related to defining customer approval criteria and custom registration fields. WBL potentially has fewer initial configuration steps depending on the store's inventory.
Can both apps be used simultaneously?
Yes, theoretically. You could use Singleton to verify customers and then use WBL to manage quote requests from approved customers. However, this adds complexity and may require careful integration to ensure a seamless user experience.
Which app is better for wholesale businesses?
Singleton | Verify Customers is likely better for wholesale businesses needing to restrict access and display wholesale prices only to approved customers. WBL - Request a Quote could be useful for handling bulk orders and negotiating pricing, but it doesn't inherently provide customer verification features.
What are the potential drawbacks of WBL - Request a Quote without any reviews?
Without reviews, the app's reliability, ease of use, and potential bugs are unknown. Merchants should proceed with caution, thoroughly testing the app and monitoring its performance closely.
Which app offers more comprehensive customer management?
Singleton | Verify Customers offers more comprehensive customer management through its verification process, custom registration fields, and ability to hide content from unapproved users. WBL focuses primarily on quote management.
