Singleton | Verify Customers vs Weyify POS by Weightfor Shopify (2026)
Singleton | Verify Customers and Weyify POS by Weight are Shopify apps addressing vastly different needs, despite both technically relating to 'Pricing' because of their effect on how products are shown and sold. Singleton focuses on access control, allowing merchants to selectively display prices and 'add to cart' buttons based on customer approval. This app is geared towards stores requiring gated access to product information, such as wholesale businesses, membership-based retailers, or those selling sensitive or age-restricted items. Weyify, on the other hand, streamlines the POS checkout process for products sold by weight. It caters specifically to brick-and-mortar stores selling items like produce, bulk goods, or anything measured by weight at the point of sale. The fundamental difference lies in their target environments and problem-solving approach. Singleton is designed for online stores requiring robust customer verification and access control. It prioritizes user management and content restriction based on approval status. Weyify is for physical stores using Shopify POS, aiming to simplify the often cumbersome process of weighing items, calculating prices, and adding them to the cart. The value propositions are also distinct: Singleton provides control and exclusivity, while Weyify offers efficiency and accuracy in weight-based transactions. User ratings also provide a clear distinction between the two apps.

Our Verdict
For online merchants needing granular control over who sees their products and prices, particularly those with membership models or wholesale divisions, Singleton | Verify Customers is the clear choice. Its comprehensive customer verification and access control features provide a robust solution for creating an exclusive shopping experience. The vastly superior number of reviews and rating of 5/5 versus the two reviews and 3/5 of Weyify POS by Weight further strengthens this recommendation.
However, if a merchant operates a physical store using Shopify POS and sells products by weight, Weyify POS by Weight is specifically designed to address their needs. While its low rating and few reviews are concerning, the functionality it provides is unique and potentially invaluable for businesses dealing with weight-based transactions. Merchants should carefully evaluate the app's support and reliability before committing, given the limited user feedback.
