Skeps Pay‑Over‑Time Messaging vs WeGetFinancing Messagingfor Shopify (2026)
Skeps Pay‑Over‑Time Messaging and WeGetFinancing Messaging are both Shopify apps designed to integrate financing options into the online shopping experience, but they differ significantly in their approach and target audience. Skeps focuses on providing installment loan options from national U.S. banks, offering businesses control over financing offers at the SKU or geographical level. It requires a separate Skeps Pay-Over-Time app for completing payments, positioning it as a messaging layer for an existing financing setup. A key selling point is the higher line sizes offered, up to $25,000 exclusively for your business. WeGetFinancing Messaging, on the other hand, emphasizes instant credit from multiple lenders through its Purchase Power Estimator (PPE). The PPE allows customers to estimate their monthly payments on the product page based on their credit range, streamlining the financing discovery process. This app caters to a broader credit spectrum, providing customers with access to a full suite of lenders. The app also boasts that it supports the broadest range of cart sizes and verticals, making it more versatile than Skeps, but the lack of customer reviews makes it harder to assess the quality of experience compared to the claim.

Our Verdict
The choice between Skeps Pay‑Over‑Time Messaging and WeGetFinancing Messaging depends largely on the merchant's financing strategy and target customer. Skeps is ideal for businesses that want greater control over the financing offers they provide, specifically targeting customers with higher purchase amounts and leveraging existing SKU-level campaign capabilities. Businesses looking for more custom payment plans will likely find Skeps to be a better fit.
WeGetFinancing Messaging, with its instant credit estimation and access to multiple lenders, is better suited for merchants aiming to cast a wide net and offer financing options to a broader range of customers. Merchants who prioritize ease of integration and a streamlined customer experience, rather than fine-grained control over lending terms, may find WeGetFinancing more appealing. However, the limited review data and lack of specific information on integration complexity should be carefully considered.
