Skroutz Connect vs SyncBase Airtable Instant Syncfor Shopify (2026)
Skroutz Connect and SyncBase Airtable Instant Sync, while both touching on inventory sync, serve fundamentally different purposes for Shopify merchants. Skroutz Connect is a specialized app designed to enhance product visibility on the Skroutz price comparison engine. Its strength lies in creating and maintaining an XML feed optimized for Skroutz, handling product data like pricing, availability, and images. It caters to merchants primarily focused on the Greek market seeking to leverage Skroutz for increased sales. In contrast, SyncBase Airtable Instant Sync is a broader data management tool. It connects a Shopify store to Airtable, enabling real-time two-way data synchronization for a wide range of data types, including products, orders, and metaobjects. It empowers merchants to build custom workflows, PIM (Product Information Management) systems, and other operational tools using Airtable's flexible interface. SyncBase Airtable Instant Sync targets merchants looking for a flexible and powerful way to manage their Shopify data externally. It allows for advanced data manipulation, custom reporting, and the creation of tailored business processes using Airtable's spreadsheet-database hybrid platform. The "Studio" option suggests they offer custom solutions and cater to larger merchants with complex data management needs. Skroutz Connect, with its straightforward XML feed generation and specific Skroutz analytics integration, is better suited for merchants with a clear strategy to utilize the Skroutz platform, whereas SyncBase provides a more generic but powerful data management solution with Airtable.

Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants specifically aiming to boost their presence on the Skroutz price comparison engine, Skroutz Connect is the clear choice. Its pre-configured XML feed and analytics integration are tailored to maximize results on that platform. However, for merchants who need a versatile data management solution that integrates with Airtable, allowing for custom workflows, PIM creation, or ERP systems, SyncBase Airtable Instant Sync is the superior option. While Skroutz Connect solves a very specific problem, SyncBase empowers merchants to build custom solutions for a wide range of data-related challenges. The better rating and higher review count of SyncBase suggest greater overall satisfaction, but the decision hinges on the merchant's specific needs and the importance of the Skroutz channel.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Both apps advertise a "one-click" setup. Skroutz Connect involves copying the generated XML URL to the Skroutz panel, which is straightforward if you're familiar with Skroutz. If I have multiple Shopify stores, which app is better?

Both apps claim to support large catalogs. Skroutz Connect states they already support clients with over 100,000 items, and SyncBase offers custom studio solutions suggesting that they have the capability to adapt their integration to large catalogs.
Can I create a custom product information management (PIM) system with these apps?
SyncBase Airtable Instant Sync is explicitly designed to facilitate PIM creation using Airtable. Skroutz Connect focuses on creating an XML feed for Skroutz and does not offer PIM functionality.
