SM Estimated Delivery Date ETA vs Store Pickup + Delivery (CR)for Shopify (2026)
SM Estimated Delivery Date ETA and Store Pickup + Delivery (CR) both address delivery-related concerns for Shopify merchants in 2026, but they target distinct needs. SM Estimated Delivery Date ETA focuses on providing accurate and visually appealing estimated delivery dates (EDD/ETA) to customers during the online shopping experience. Its goal is to reduce customer inquiries about shipping times and increase conversion rates by creating urgency with delivery timers. Store Pickup + Delivery (CR), on the other hand, centers around enabling flexible local order pickup and delivery scheduling, improving local fulfillment for businesses with physical locations or those offering local delivery services. The primary difference lies in their functionalities: SM Estimated Delivery Date ETA concerns itself with *informing* customers about estimated delivery dates regardless of the fulfillment method. Store Pickup + Delivery (CR) focuses on *managing* the scheduling and logistics of local pickup and delivery. While both apps contribute to a better delivery experience, they serve different stages of the fulfillment process. Merchants should carefully assess which aspect of delivery they need to improve: information transparency or fulfillment management.

Common Questions
Which app is better for reducing customer inquiries about shipping?
SM Estimated Delivery Date ETA is specifically designed to reduce shipping inquiries by providing upfront and accurate estimated delivery dates. Its timer feature can also create urgency.
Can Store Pickup + Delivery (CR) be used for standard shipping estimates?
While Store Pickup + Delivery (CR) manages *local* delivery schedules, it doesn't inherently provide broader shipping estimates. You would need a separate app for that.
Is it possible to use both apps together?
Yes, both apps can complement each other. SM Estimated Delivery Date ETA can provide a general estimated delivery date, while Store Pickup + Delivery (CR) manages the specific scheduling for local pickup or delivery options.
Which app is easier to set up and use?
SM Estimated Delivery Date ETA appears to be easier to set up, given its claim of 'no coding required' and simplified functionality. Store Pickup + Delivery (CR) likely requires more configuration due to its scheduling and location management features.
Does either app offer integration with shipping carriers for real-time updates?
Based on the provided descriptions, neither app explicitly mentions integration with shipping carriers for real-time tracking updates. SM Estimated Delivery Date focuses on estimations, not real-time tracking, and Store Pickup + Delivery (CR) is oriented towards local delivery, so real-time tracking is less central to the functionality.
