Our Verdict
For merchants deeply embedded in the Slack ecosystem, SmartNotify for Slack offers a seamless and highly customizable notification experience. The ability to route different events to different channels and configure conditions for notifications provides granular control and avoids notification overload. However, the low review count suggests caution and a need for further research.
Smart Notifications, with its higher review count, indicates a more established and potentially broader solution. If your store isn't primarily Slack-focused and you need notifications delivered across various channels, Smart Notifications might be a better choice. More research is needed to find the destinations beyond Slack.

The provided information doesn't specify beyond the staff notifications category. More research on the app's description page or other sources is needed to determine the other notification channels available.
Which app is easier to set up?
Both apps likely offer a relatively straightforward setup, but SmartNotify might have a slightly simpler initial connection as it focuses solely on Slack integration. The ease of configuring custom notification rules will vary, requiring hands on testing.
Does SmartNotify support direct messages (DMs) in Slack?
Yes, SmartNotify explicitly mentions the ability to send events to DMs in Slack.
Can I use SmartNotify in multiple Slack workspaces?
Yes, the description notes that you can connect as many Slack channels as you want, even from different workspaces.
If I don't use Slack heavily, is SmartNotify worth it?
