Our Verdict
Smile is the clear choice for merchants prioritizing customer retention and seeking a sophisticated loyalty program with extensive customization and integrations. Its high rating and large number of reviews suggest it is a well-established and effective solution. Zestard ‑ Easy Donation is better suited for merchants who want to incorporate charitable giving into their business model and offer customers a simple way to donate to various causes. While its rating is good, the significantly lower number of reviews suggests a smaller user base, and potentially fewer features compared to Smile. If the main goal is driving donations, Zestard is a good option. If the goal is a comprehensive loyalty program to drive repeat business, choose Smile.
Common Questions
Can both apps be used simultaneously?
Potentially, but they address different needs. Using both would mean offering a loyalty program (Smile) and allowing customers to donate to charity (Zestard). They don't directly overlap in functionality.
Which app is easier to set up?
Smile claims to allow launching a loyalty program in minutes, which suggests ease of use. Zestard also claims simplicity, but without direct comparison, it's difficult to definitively say which is easier. User reviews would provide more specific insights.
Which app is better for a small business?
Both apps can be used by small businesses. The best choice depends on the business's goals. If the goal is to build customer loyalty, Smile is the better option. If the goal is to incorporate charitable giving, Zestard is the better option. Consider which aligns more closely with business values and target market.
Are there any hidden costs associated with either app?
The app descriptions don't provide information about pricing. Merchants should investigate the pricing plans of both apps to understand the costs associated with each.
Does either app offer analytics to track performance?
Smile explicitly mentions powerful analytics and benchmarks. Zestard mentions detailed reports for managing donations. Both offer analytics, but Smile's focus on loyalty program performance suggests more comprehensive analytics in that area.
