Sold Count: Product Sale Proof vs Trusted Shops reviews and morefor Shopify (2026)
Sold Count: Product Sale Proof and Trusted Shops reviews and more both aim to build social trust on Shopify stores, but they approach this goal from different angles and target different merchant needs. Sold Count focuses on on-page social proof elements like displaying the number of sales, trust badges, stock levels, and promotional labels directly on product pages to induce a sense of urgency and popularity. It's about immediate conversion rate optimization by showcasing current product appeal. Trusted Shops, on the other hand, emphasizes long-term trust-building through customer reviews, a quality seal, and buyer protection. It connects merchants to a larger network of trusted online shoppers, particularly in Europe, aiming to increase conversion rates and cart sizes by providing shoppers with confidence in the overall shop's reliability and trustworthiness. While Sold Count is focused on individual product appeal, Trusted Shops aims for broader brand trust and consumer protection. The number of reviews shows Trusted Shops enjoys more usage, and potentially, a longer history of positive results that make it an appealing alternative.

Our Verdict
For merchants who prioritize boosting the appeal of individual products through visible sales data and urgency cues, Sold Count: Product Sale Proof is a suitable choice. It's ideal for stores that want to quickly showcase product popularity and drive immediate conversions. However, given the lower number of reviews, the long-term viability might be a concern compared to Trusted Shops.
Trusted Shops reviews and more is a better option for merchants who aim to build long-term trust and credibility, especially those targeting European customers. The quality seal, buyer protection, and customer review system offer a more robust approach to building customer confidence and increasing overall sales. It is the clear winner for establishing credible reputation.
Common Questions
