Spaceship: Shipping Automation vs Zippyyfor Shopify (2026)
Spaceship: Shipping Automation and Zippyy both aim to simplify shipping for Shopify merchants by automating processes like rate comparison and label generation. They share the core value proposition of saving time and money on order fulfillment. Spaceship: Shipping Automation explicitly targets a user looking for streamlined EU shipments via its one-time IOSS setup feature, and positions itself as a more robust shipping automation solution. Zippyy, on the other hand, presents a broader appeal, emphasizing ease of integration and a seamless experience, especially with popular carriers like USPS, UPS, and DHL. The key differentiator initially lies in social proof. While both boast perfect ratings, Spaceship: Shipping Automation has more reviews (5 vs. 1), suggesting a potentially more established presence, although this might not reflect the app's long-term performance by 2026. Spaceship's focus on 'worldwide' carriers and 'faster, cheaper, and smarter' shipping suggests an appeal to businesses with a global footprint, while Zippyy’s feature highlighting transaction break-ups could indicate a focus on financial clarity and budget management during shipping processes. Given these details, both applications appear to serve the same core problem but with slight variations in target audience and detailed execution.

Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing established solutions and EU-specific shipping needs like IOSS, Spaceship: Shipping Automation may be a better fit, especially if they value the 'faster, cheaper, and smarter' proposition. However, merchants who value simplicity, direct integration with widely used carriers (USPS, UPS, DHL), and financial tracking of shipments might find Zippyy more appealing. The low number of reviews for both apps necessitates thorough testing during any trial period to determine which best fits specific business workflows and scaling needs.
Ultimately, the best choice depends on the merchant's priorities. If EU shipping, robust automation, and potentially greater support are key, Spaceship is the stronger contender. If ease of use, budget monitoring of shipping expenses, and explicit support for common carriers are top priorities, Zippyy should be strongly considered. The review counts should be a consideration, and the merchant should explore trials of both apps to find which best integrates into their shipping operations.
