SpurIT Discount Reminder vs SupaEasy: AI Functions creatorfor Shopify (2026)
SpurIT Discount Reminder and SupaEasy: AI Functions creator, while both operating within the 'Discounts' category on Shopify, cater to vastly different needs and technical expertise levels. SpurIT focuses on automated price drop notifications, providing a simple solution for merchants aiming to re-engage customers interested in discounted products. Its value proposition lies in its ease of use and direct impact on sales recovery through automated personalized email alerts. The target audience is merchants seeking a plug-and-play solution to boost conversions by capitalizing on price sensitivity. SupaEasy: AI Functions creator, on the other hand, is a more advanced app designed to extend Shopify's native capabilities through custom functions, specifically focusing on the post-script era. It empowers merchants, including Shopify Plus users who have previously relied on script editor, to create bespoke discount, shipping, payment, and validation logic without writing code. The core strength lies in its AI-powered function generator and migration tools, facilitating complex checkout customizations. SupaEasy targets merchants with more complex needs who need a higher level of control over their checkout processes but may not have in-house coding resources, especially those impacted by the deprecation of Shopify Scripts. Ultimately, both apps aim to increase revenue through discounts, but they approach this with fundamentally different strategies and technical requirements.

Our Verdict
For merchants seeking a simple, hands-off solution to re-engage customers with automated price drop notifications, SpurIT Discount Reminder is the clear choice. Its straightforward functionality and ease of use make it ideal for stores looking for a quick win with minimal setup. The low review count should be considered.
However, if you're a Shopify Plus user transitioning from scripts or a merchant needing more advanced control over your checkout process (discounts, shipping, payments, validation) and are comfortable with the concept of custom functions, SupaEasy: AI Functions creator is the superior option. While requiring a deeper understanding, the AI-powered function generation and the positive reviews suggest a powerful tool for unlocking a higher level of checkout customization.
