SpurIT Upsell Email Marketing vs Squid: Reviews, Upsells & 25+for Shopify (2026)
SpurIT Upsell Email Marketing focuses on automated upsell emails triggered post-purchase. Its core strength lies in simplicity: automatically sending relevant product offers based on the order content. The target audience is merchants seeking an easy, hands-off approach to email marketing for upselling. Squid: Reviews, Upsells & 25+ is a much broader tool, encompassing reviews, trust badges, AI-powered recommendations, and a variety of upsell/cross-sell options across different store pages, from homepage to order status. Squid caters to merchants aiming for comprehensive AOV maximization through diverse strategies, including on-site experiences, discounts, and customer engagement features. Its advantage is its multifaceted nature, addressing multiple pain points beyond just email. Squid's features suggest a more hands-on approach to customization and implementation compared to the simpler automated email focus of SpurIT. Ultimately, the choice depends on the merchant's needs. SpurIT is for those prioritizing set-and-forget upsell email campaigns, while Squid is better suited for merchants seeking a wider range of tools to build trust, improve the on-site shopping experience, and employ more diverse upsell tactics.

Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants looking for a simple, automated solution to generate upsell revenue through post-purchase emails, SpurIT Upsell Email Marketing is a good choice. It's easy to set up and requires minimal ongoing marketing effort. However, the limited number of reviews is something to consider.
If a merchant needs a more comprehensive solution to boost AOV, improve the customer experience, and establish trust, Squid: Reviews, Upsells & 25+ is the better option. Its wide array of features caters to various upselling tactics, incorporates social proof through reviews, and enhances the overall store credibility. The higher rating and slightly higher review count lend more confidence, although both apps have a relatively small sample size.
